These terms apply to purchases made through dearitsfriday.com by consumers, for personal use. Wholesale and trade orders are arranged separately by agreement. Please contact hello@dearitsfriday.com.

Placing an order

When you place an order you will receive an automatic email confirming receipt. This acknowledges your order; it does not accept it. The contract between us is formed when we email you to confirm despatch.

If we cannot fulfil your order, for example because an item has sold out or a price was listed in error, we will notify you and refund you in full.

All items are produced in small batches and stock is limited.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include any applicable taxes.

Payment is taken at checkout by Stripe. Card details are handled by Stripe and are never seen or stored by us.

Delivery charges are added at checkout and are set out on the Shipping page.

Commissions and original artwork

Original paintings and commissioned work are not available to purchase directly through the shop. Each piece is quoted individually depending on size, complexity, intended use and timescale.

Each original painting is a single piece and is not reproduced.

Email hello@dearitsfriday.com to discuss. Any commission is governed by the written agreement confirmed between us for that piece, including payment terms and cancellation.

As commissioned work is made to your specification, the statutory 14-day cancellation right does not apply.

Delivery

We ship to the United Kingdom and Hong Kong. Costs and timescales are set out on the Shipping page. Goods remain our responsibility until they come into your physical possession, or that of someone you have asked to receive them on your behalf.

Cancellation and returns

Your right to cancel, and the returns process, are set out on the Returns page. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

Intellectual property

All artwork, characters, illustrations and designs on this site are the property of Dear it’s Friday Ltd or are licensed to it.

Purchasing a print, card or original painting transfers ownership of the physical item only. It does not transfer copyright, nor any right to reproduce, resell commercially, or create derivative works from the artwork.

Our liability

If you are unhappy with any aspect of your order, please contact hello@dearitsfriday.com in the first instance.

We are responsible for loss you suffer as a result of our breaking these terms, where that loss is a foreseeable result of the breach. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, nor for business loss, as all items are sold for personal use. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

Privacy

Personal information is handled as set out in the Privacy Policy.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version applying to your order is the version published at the time the order was placed.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. For consumers in Hong Kong, nothing in these terms removes any rights available under Hong Kong consumer protection law.
